New Season, New job, New Chapter in life

It's April and spring is nearing us soon, ( I hope.... ;) Life is good around the Hill house. Andrew is still working hard in Park City and loves his job most days. He is the favorite boss at his work, so I guess that is something to be proud of. He is hoping to move up in the chain of command in the next few months, so keep your fingers crossed that all goes well.

I am loving married life. I love coming home to my own place to just one roommate, my lover and being able to do whatever I want! I love being a housewife, keeping things clean and decorating my walls and making lots of good food! I have been obsessed with both food and craft blogs and cant wait to make all of the fun and yummy things that I have found. Andrew quite enjoys my obsession, he gets to reap the many beneifts of it. ;) For example, today I had the day off so I was determined to make homemade bread. Not only is it cheaper in the long run, it smells so good!! Well I am happy to report that I did it and the bread turned out great! I cant wait to use it for sandwiches this week!

So I started a new job this last week..... it is going to be a big change. Instead of working five days a week for 9-10 hrs a day staring at a comp, I get to work here:

As a Critical Care tech. It is a CNA job but I also get to do things like draw labs, start IV's, put in catheters, do EKGs, and a bunch of other stuff. I have had two days of orientation on the floor and I love it so far! I cant wait to be able to do it all on my own in the next few months. I am sad to be leaving my other job, I worked with alot of great people, but I was ready for a change. I am excited to work with kids and the staff of the ED and gain a ton of new experiences.

We are excited for spring to come, both of us our sick of sitting inside looking at all of the gross snow on the ground. We have a trip planned for the end of this month to go spend some time in the sun down south. Other than that, we are living life day to day and love being together. These next few months are going to be a bit crazy with weddings and birthdays etc, but it means more family time so I am excited for that!
Here is a pic I found on google of spring.... oh how I cant wait till it looks like this out my window!!! :D

And the day was perfect!!!!

We did it. We got married!!! The day was great, it went by super fast and I wouldn't mind reliving it again. A lot of people that I talk to say that you dont remember much about your wedding day, that it is all a blur and you only have pics to remember the details. Well I would say that is partially true for me. I remember most everything except for some of the reception. Granted it only happened two weeks ago, but still. The day was great, there was supposed to be a big storm that happened that day so we all prayed hard that the weather would work in our favor. And we were blessed. When we came out of the temple it was windy and cold but there was no snow and rain. We were able to get some good pics, I lasted for about an hour and a half and then my photographer made me stop and get inside and get warm.

When we headed over to get ready for the reception the weather started to not like us and it was raining and hailing and who knows what else. Near the end of the reception people were telling us that they had a hard time getting up the hill to the church bc of all the snow. By the time we left, around 945 or so, we had a good 3 or so inches of snow on our car. The weather was bad enough that no one could decorate our car! HAHAHAHA.

All in all the day was great and we were exhausted by the time we got to our hotel in SLC. My parents bought us the room in a little place called the Armstrong Inn. We stayed in the May room and it was small and cozy but nice and super cute. Sadly I did not take any pics, but I am sure we will go back one day.
We were able to take a short honeymoon and spend a couple of nights in St George and Las Vegas and then we had to come home and move into our new place. We loved being able to spend a whole week together without having to worry about work or anything like that. It was really hard to go back to the real world of working nad being responsible. But life must go on. We decided that we are going to take off one weekend a month and either take a mini trip somewhere close or just stay home and be together.

Here are some of the pics from the day. We didnt take a ton on our honeymoon, but I will post the few when I can find my camera cord, it is buried somewhere in a box. Oh the joys of moving!! Thanks to all of those who helped and came to share our special day with us. We love you all!!!
Love,
Mrs Hill! ;)
P.S. If you want to see more pics I posted them on facebook!

Time is a flyin!

It seems like just yesterday we started dating and now we are 9 days away from getting married. I cant believe it. Planning the wedding has had some major ups and downs and lots of stress and breakdowns with crying. But we have made it. With the help of loving friends and family I think that the wedding will go smoothly and work out just like we wanted it to. I cant wait!!!
Love this face!

Hope to see you all at the wedding!

The end

Time is flying, sometimes I wonder where it all goes. I took my last final of my undergrad this week. Now I just have to finish up my internship hours and I will be an official graduate. Its nice but feels weird at the same time. I am already wondering what to do with myself at night. No homework to do or books to read for class. Crazy! But I am glad to be done.
We have about a month till the wedding and I CAN NOT WAIT!!! I just want it to be now. I am sick of not being able to see my man everyday. It is hard, but I know that in the end it will be worth it.
I cant believe that Christmas is this week, its weird, it does not feel that I have really celebrated this year, I am kind of sad. Maybe its because last year me and my roommates were closer and put up a tree and decked out our place. Not this year, I dont even talk to any of them. It makes me sad, but they all seem to busy with their own lives, which is good, but still.......
So lately I have been super emotional and I am not going to lie, I HATE IT! I cry and anything! It is getting old and fast. I feel like I cant turn on the TV or listen to a love song without getting all teary eyed and what not. I guess its good that my hormones are in order and my tear ducts are functioning but at the same time.... Oh well.
Work is going ok, I am transfering to another office come the beginning of the year and I am looking forward to the change. I have gotten really sick of alot of people that I work with. Some of them are on their last string as far as my patience goes with them. Dont worry, I am trying my hardest to get along with them, but sometimes people are just plan stupid and annoying. I am not sure if they really have any friends. But that is not my place to judge..... moving on..
I hope you all have a great holiday and stay safe. IF you want a wedding announcement let me know ASAP. We are hoping to have them out in the next two weeks.

* A cute pic from goggle to put us all in the holiday spirit!

Gratutude

In church today the topic was gratitude, no surprise as it is Thanksgiving week. It got me thinking about what I am thankful for. There are so many things, the typical answers, family, friends, food, money etc etc. Well this weekend I became greatful for a surprising thing. I am grateful for stress. Yes thats right, STRESS! It is a big thing that has been in my life lately. We all go through it. Some more than others and we all handle it differently. I have been stressed because of school, trying to get everything done to be able to graduate next month, lots of tests, papers, and deadlines that need to be met. But I set goals and make sure that I stay on task so I can get them all done on time.
I stress about the wedding, about the many details that come with it. There is still alot of planning to do and tons of things to get done. It is a constant thing on my mind, but I take it one day at a time. I also stress about money and being able to make it through. I stress about not being able to sell my contract so that I can move when i get married. All of these and more cause me stress and grief, sometimes to the point where I break down and cry. But then I get up and move on.
This weekend I was able to have a me weekend. I didnt worry about school, or work, or planning a wedding. I had fun. I was able to spend it with my fiance, doing things together and just having fun. It felt so nice to not have a care in the world, to be able to be silly and have fun. I loved it. I cant wait until I can have more of those days. I think one of the reasons that I loved it so much was because I dont have them very often. My life is stressful and I don't have time to think about me. But because I stressed all week to get everything done, I had time to play. That is why I may be a bit crazy in saying that I am thankful for stress. What are you thankful for?
